Eight J/105's raft up to party on Tom Coates' SEA VISION after the Around-the-Island race on Thursday afternoon. On the first leeward rounding on Friday, there are ten J/105's in view. A few have already rounded by the time this photos was taken.

The pack is closely bunched going upwind on Friday. That's #240, PEEKABOO, in the foreground. Jim Sorensen steers #175, WET LEOPARD, downwind in Race 6 on Friday.

Many of the J/105s stayed at Block Island Boat Basin. That's a whole row of 'em on the inside of the East dock. PEEKABOO tries to keep their chute up until the last moment in a crowed leeward rounding. The following boat (KETCHUPLESS) seems to be using room at the mark that is left for the taking.

There were often boats overlapped at the leeward marks. In this rounding from left to right, are PEEKABOO, CAPRICORN 3, ECLIPSE, KETCHUPLESS, and MASQUERADE (KETCHUPLESS leading). Andy Skibo and his crew, the Annapolis NOOD winners, take PLUM CRAZY on the reach up the east side of Block on Thursday.
