Additional Procedures:

The Fleet 8 High Point series shall be scored using a highpoint system that heavily encourages participation. Scoring shall be based on the Cox-Sprague Chart originated by the Y.R.A of Long IslandSound, but with modifications. Here is the original document. Here are the excpetions:

  1. Each regatta shall be scored as a "race". This means that we shall use the host race commitee's rules for DSQ scoring, throw-outs, etc.
  2. The score shall be the simple addition of the table score for each regatta particpated in.
  3. Regattas not particpated in shall be scored as zero.
  4. No sail off shall be done. Ties are resolved by the highest event score breaking the tie. If those are tied, the next highest events break the tie, etc.
  5. A specific number of Thow-outs shall be provided and each participant shall throw out this number of regattas from their total socre.
