J 105 FOR SALE - We own J 105 Hull # 18 ( boat is a Pre SCRIMP boat that was built just after MASQURADE: Hull # 17. . . . We have been told it may be as much as 400 lbs. light ) along with a Sailors Trailer 9 post twin axle trailer. This is a chance for someone to have a VERY COMPETIVE boat for far less money than you might expect. The boat was sailed in fresh water from the beginning till 2002. While "on-the-hard" a "microburst" came through the yard and put the boat on the ground. Port hull was damaged and has subsequently been repaired by a professional boat builder. In actuality the boat still needs to be completely faired, painted and the port interior reinstalled. This is a project that we have estimates at costs of between $14,000 and $28,000 for completion. Sails ("2 +" inventories with some less than 4-5 races) and equipment have been in dry storage since 2002. With my partner's current medical condition we have lost interest in completing & racing this J 105.
